    Where

The slide-playground built in 1967 on Gellért Hill used to be one of the most widely known and loved place for children in the capital. It was recently renovated, and opened for the public to enjoy. The 50-year old park’s renovation took about two months.

The park can be reached by climbing a little upwards on the Gellért Thermal Bath’s side, you cannot miss it, as the laughter of children can be heard from far away (not to mention the very straightforward signs).

The area was also redecorated: the public toilet was renovated, tourist signs were repainted, grass has been replanted, and the hill track was covered with a safe material.

The emphasis however is on the new slides: children can use five different ones, from the classic straight and open ones to ones with a lot of twists and turns, as well as some closed tube ones.

Even if the little ones get bored of sliding, they have a bunch of other games and toys to tire themselves out on. There is a suspension bridge, a see-saw, a climbing castle, a spring house and a tunnel hill. There is also a well with drinking water for rehydration.

Almost all of the games are for children between 3 and 12 years of age, except for the trampoline which can be enjoyed by adults too.
