There will be electric car charging stations in the near future in the Pápa Várkert parking lot thanks to a successful grant request. The contract hasn’t been signed yet, but as soon as it is, the planning and building phase can begin. This will take around 6 months according to current plans.
Something interesting – the first gas station appeared in Pápa in 1925. It was a mobile station established in Március 15 square based on a contract between the town and Shell. Mobility meant that in the evening the station was transported into a shop in order to prevent any accidents or damage. It’s been 92 years since then, so this electric charging station is a real opening to a new era.
Additionally, don’t forget that if you have a green license plate, you can park for free in any parking spot around Pápa town.
