According to government decree 484/2020, the mayor of any town or city with a population of 10 000 and above may decide to implement measures, which make wearing masks in communal areas mandatory.
Dr Tamás Áldozó, the mayor of Pápa announced his decision yesterday evening. From the 12th of November onwards it is mandatory to wear a mask covering nose and mouth for everyone above 6 years of age in the following areas:
parking lots of all shops, stores
in the entire area of the market during opening hours
in all public transportation waiting areas, whether they’re in- or outdoors
while queueing/waiting in front of nurseries, kindergartens, educational institutions, post offices, pharmacies, banks, health institutions.
The mayor asks everyone to wear a mask outside whenever possible, even in areas where it is not mandatory, because it doesn’t hurt, and we protect others’ health by doing so.
