Local entrepeneurs initiated a community donation request on social media. The response was so overwhelming, that they managed to collect double the amount than what they set out to collect. They still have money left over from the initiative, so further deliveries are expected to arrive.
So far 10000 masks have arrived to the Social Services Department section of the Town Hall. The masks arrived from China, and were bought entirely with money collected during the community donation initiative. The Mayor of Pápa was there to greet the entrepeneurs arriving with the masks, and expressed his utmost gratitude for the idea.
Colleagues of the Social Services Department use about 4000 single-use masks/month, so the donation was more than welcome.
Half of the masks will go to the local Basic Health Services, and the other half will be used by the Social Services Department.
