Ms Zsuzsanna Beller would like to inform you about a great opportunity for high school students for studying abroad for a school year.

AFS (American Field Service) is a worldwide student exchange program, offers opportunity to spend 3; 6 or 10 months abroad by living with a local family and attending the local school.

Zsuzsi is a volunteer of this organization and she has spoken to the Program Director about our community. They said it is possible for a foreign student living in Hungary to participate in AFS Hungary’s programs and as Hungarian prices are usually lower than e.g. Scandinavian or USA, it is worth travelling with them.

You can read up on the program on the American site (http://www.afsusa.org/), but keep in mind that prices will be significantly lower collaborating with the Hungarian branch.

If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Zsuzsi (zsuzsanna.beller@nspa.nato.int), she’ll be able to give you all the details you need to know (price, application process, countries etc.).
